Terms of Service

General
- Prices may be changed at any time for any reason.
- I have the right to reject any order for any reason.
- I will not discriminate against a commission based on a client's race, gender, gender expression, sex, sexual orientation, mental disorder/illness, disability, ethnicity, or nationality.Payment
- The accepted currency is USD, sent through Venmo or Stripe. (If you live in a country where access to these services are minimal, we can revisit this.)
- Commissions may be paid for 100% up front OR 50% up front and 50% after the sketch has been approved.
- Do not send any payments before I have agreed to give you a slot and requested you to send me a payment.Process and Delivery
- The expected initial outreach after your request can be expected from 3-5 business days after it has been sent. The time taken to finish the commission may vary between one week to two months, depending on personal health, commission complexity, and other work.
- Once the piece has been finished, you will be sent a full resolution image or images via email.Revisions
- You receive up to three major revisions after the approved sketch (but before the lineart has begun).
- A fee will be added if a change is requested to the final product, unless it was artistic error or misunderstanding.Copyright and Usage
I, duskforged (the artist):
- reserve the right to cancel and refund the order for any reason.
- I retain all copyrights over the commissioned product.
- I will NOT claim the intellectual property (IP) of any commissioned product (the character, if applicable, remains yours, etc)
- I reserve the right to post the commissioned work online, such as in my portfolio or on social media.You (the customer/commissioner):
- You may upload the artwork on any social media or website.
- You may NOT make profits from the commissioned piece (reselling, redistributing, uploading to print-on-demand services, making prints for reselling, placing behind paywalls such as on Patreon, etc).
- You may NOT alter the commissioned artwork without my (the artist's) consent (removing the watermark/logo, etc).
- You retain the rights to intellectual property (IP).
- You may NOT use the commissioned artwork for any commercial purposes unless otherwise specified and agreed upon between us.
- You may NOT upload or use any artwork, commissioned or otherwise, to be used in artificial intelligence software or similar programs.Refunds
- If you choose to cancel the commission before or after it has begun, but has NOT been completed, you agree to pay 50% of the base price as a kill fee.
- You may NOT request a refund on a finished commission, after you have received the file.
- Refunds will be sent via Venmo or Stripe - do not request funds, I will send it to you.Please include the following:
- Visual reference(s) for the character or related commission, including but not limited to your own art and past commissions, OR,
- A detailed written description of the requested piece. Be as wordy as you wish to be, and include everything you believe relevant.
- Specify if this commission is a gift to remain secret until it is finished, or otherwise not something you wish to be posted about online (such as in a WIP post or online stream).
- Email directly to [email protected] with attached files, descriptions, and any extra notes.

Expect painterly themes and a longer turn-around time.Character Design
Starts at $100, increases based on complexity and amount of drawings desired. Expect a lot of back and forth if you do not already have an idea in mind.
Note: this does not necessarily count as an add-on fee for characters exclusively described in text, only as characters who have yet to be designed at all.Character Reference Sheet
Starts at $150, includes a front and back (either head on or ¾ view), an optional profile portrait, a color palette, and certain details (hands, eyes, patterns, tattoos, etc). Increases based on complexity.EXTRAS:
- extra characters: +50% of the price per additional character; +25% for chibis only
- detailed background: +30% of the base
- extra detailing: +20% of the base price (flowers, borders, magical effects, etc)
- cel shading: +25% of the base price.
- detailed shading: +50% of the base price.
- transparent background: free - be sure whether to specify if you want transparency or not.
